There is approximately $42 million remaining in the private school tax credit program corporate donation cap.
The corporate private school tax credit program is not for “Rich kids going to rich schools." Donations from corporations must be used to help low-income students attend the school that is right for them. Schools such as Imago Dei, which educates students from families living below the poverty level, or students attending many of the special
needs schools in our state, such as New Way Academy or PS Academy.
As a reminder:
- Donations can be made by pass-through
organizations like S-Corps and LLCs that file as S-Corps, as well as C-Corps.
- Corporations can designate a school they would like the funds to go to.
- For corporations that wish to take the tax credit in 2024, we must be notified by 12/23, and the donation must be funded by 12/31. We strongly encourage corporations to get their pledge forms in as soon as they can.
