There is approximately $40 million remaining in the private school tax credit program corporate donation cap.
Corporate donations can only be used to support low-income families. This program isn’t about “rich kids going to rich schools.” This tax credit is designed to help low-income students find the school that’s right for them—schools like Imago Dei, where students come from families living near or below the poverty line, or The Autism Academy,
which serves children with special needs.
Here’s how your firm can be the hero in a low-income family's story:
- In your year-end reviews, see if any of your business owners want to direct how their taxes are being spent, and would rather see their taxes go directly to support low-income families instead of into the state's coffers. S-Corps, LLCs filing as S-Corps, and C-Corps all
qualify.
- Corporations can designate a school they would like the funds to go to, or we can help them find a school with the most need.
- For
corporations that wish to take the tax credit in 2025, we must be notified by 12/22, and the donation must be funded by 12/31. We strongly encourage corporations to get their pledge forms in as soon as they can.
