Parents of 12th Graders—Don’t stop getting Tax Credit Donations!
Â
Did you know that even as your student prepares to graduate, you can still ask your social circle and others to donate tax credit funds on their behalf?
Â
Most tax credit donations are made between February 1st and April 15th, and you can still receive funds this donation season—even with graduation around the corner.
Â
Here’s how it works:
✅ If you have a remaining tuition balance, donations can be turned into
scholarships quickly to help cover that balance.
✅ If your tuition is fully paid, and you’ve paid any out-of-pocket tuition in the 2025-26 school year, the law allows the
school to refund what you’ve already paid while accepting tax credit scholarships in its place. (Check with your school in advance to confirm.)
Â
Bonus Idea: Most donations we receive now are for the 2025 tax year. However, if you have donors willing to contribute toward their 2026 tax year now, those funds can be awarded out quickly for scholarships for the 2025–26 school year. Just remind donors that they won’t receive their tax credit until they file their 2026 taxes.
Â
So, let’s finish strong this tax season.
